Before we trudge forward into the third quarter of the year, lets look back at December and how second quarter wrapped up!
Winter Program
First and foremost, I want to share the photographs I got at the first grade program. What a wonderful evening that was! The students did such an amazing job and seeing them up there being so brave really warmed my heart. Well done, first graders!
Character Trait Winners
During the month of December we celebrated the Character Trait winners for November AND December. Congratulations to Alex and Maddy for exhibiting such amazing leadership qualities in our classroom this year!
Fractions and Time
During the month of December we spent a lot of time working on fractions and reading time to the hour. These are some activities we did to help reinforce the skills.
Third Grade Writers Celebration
Our class was so honored to be invited to a writers celebration up in third grade! Mrs. Asberry is a third grade teacher who has helped our class with their writing a few times this year and wanted us to join her class for their celebration. The students love her and could not WAIT to go. Much like the celebration we had in our classroom last month, the third graders shared their non-fiction writing piece with each other and our little first graders. The students were very engaged in what the third graders were sharing and it was delightful to see.
Winter Party!
Last, but not least, I had to take some snapshots of the kiddos at the Winter Party. What a fun day we had right before our long-awaited break. :)
